CLUB VISION
At SYRFC we work as a team to promote competitive rugby at all levels and ages. Our island location makes us the most north westerly club in Scotland. As the only rugby club in the Western Isles we recognise our responsibility to promote the game through quality coaching, volunteering and involvement with schools throughout the local community.
• To advance public participation in the sport of Rugby Union and other sports to improve the health and well-being of a wide range of participants;
• To create a home for Stornoway Rugby by developing dedicated clubhouse & changing facilities at Bayhead;
• To develop sustainable dedicated rugby coaching provision within the Western Isles.
We encourage all involved to display respect at all times and have pride in representing the club both on and off the pitch.
CLUB MISSION
At Stornoway RFC our mission is to grow our Club within our island community. To be a sustainable amateur Rugby Football Union Club, recognised as a valued contributor to the local community.
To be a high quality, well run club, offering opportunities for all ages, genders and levels of ability; embracing the SRU core values by creating an environment and culture that promotes teamwork, discipline, respect and enjoyment - whilst maintaining respect for the club’s history and retaining our links with the past; incorporating changes in society, new ideas and new technologies.
